Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They are a government inspectorate reporting to parliament and inspect to achieve excellence in the care of children and young people, and in education and skills for learners of all ages.

SIAS

All Church of England dioceses and the Methodist Church use the National Society's framework for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools (SIAS) under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005.  The principle objective of SIAS inspection is to evaluate the distinctiveness and effectiveness of the school as a church school.
